Apple iPad was launched a few hours ago, starting from just $499. The Apple Media Event was held at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts Theater in San Francisco.

The official release date for the Apple iPad (WiFi only) is March 27, and April 27 from the WiFi + 3G model.
