Run Windows 7 on iPad
Windows 7 on iPad? Yep, you read that right! Previously, we only had VNC viewers and fun
Windows look alike app on the iPhone and iPod Touch to get a feel of Windows on them.
But it looks like developers really want it to push further and want Windows 7 to run on the recently revealed Apple tablet,
iPad.
Citrix Systems believe they could run the Windows & operating system on the iPad. According to them:
If your company has XenDesktop or XenApp you will be happy to know you will be able to use your iPad for real work as well. It turns out the 9.7 inch display on the iPad with a 1024×768 screen resolution works great for a full VDI XenDesktop
Citrix has already managed to run Windows 7 on the iPad SDK Emulator via Citrix Receiver and XenDesktop 4.
Good news? Ofcourse it is! Now we just have to wait for the
iPad to release and see how well Windows 7 performs on it. This opens up the possiblity of running more OS on the iPad – Mac OS X, Ubuntu – or may be Android?
